WISH LIST // THE ONE WITH BEAUTY BOOKS

THE ONE WITH BEAUTY BOOKS

The weather is not with me today so I can’t take good pictures. I’m sat here listening to Michael Buble – yes his Christmas album. Ups! While listening to this festive music, I’m also peeking on Amazon for some studio lights so I can take pictures here in the AW season. Oh well.
Instead of a review I have a Wish List for you today. I recently got my hands in my first beauty book. It was on offer and I thought – why not!? This buy resulted in me wanting more. More beauty knowledge and books. So I made a little wish list with ones I REALLY WANT.

A little note: No, I don’t know what wrong with me. Why haven’t I got my mitts in Lauren Conrads Beauty – I just.. don’t know *slaps on the wrist*

Do you have any beauty books? Any of these?

BEAUTY BOX // LOOK FANTASTIC OKTOBER

I like, I LOVE beauty boxes. It’s like getting a surprice every month – except for the fact that I pay for it myself 😉

The market for beauty boxes and “surprise”in general seems to be growing and you have a lot of choices. I have only once been subcribed to a beauty box – and it was fine but then again not totally worth trowing £15 after it every month. You also HAD to be subcribed for the box every month – which my wallet wasn’t really hooting for. So I’m so happy that Look Fantastic came out with this badass beauty box where you don’t have to be tied up – you only have to remember to order next months box before it gets sold out. Easy peasy.

This is the first box – out of, hopefully, many – I have received. I think it is a quite nice box for only £15 if I might say so. As you can see on the pictures I got 7 products which I’m looking forward to test and review on a later stage.

All of the products are travel size which is nice when you’re trying new products out. One product however is full size, the Balance Me Facial Expression Filler which is £22 – this product costs more than the whole box – woot woot!

Here’s a list of all the products, prices and links:

L’oréal Professionnel Serie Expert Pro-Keratin Refill (Shampoo 75 ml) – Full Size 250 ml, £10.99
L’oréal Professionnel Serie Expert Pro-Keratin Refill (Hår Maske 75 ml) – Full Size 200 ml, £13.99
Korres Citrus Shower Gel (50 ml) – Full Size 250 ml, £8
KMS California Free Shape Quick Blow Dry (75 ml) – Full Size 200 ml,  £11.45
Balance Me Facial Expression Filler (15 ml) – Full Size 15 ml, £22
Gatineau Paris Collagene Expert Ultimate Smoothing Cream (15 ml) – Full Size 50 ml, £54.19
This Works Sleep Plus Pillow Spray (5 ml) – Full Size 75 ml, £25 (not shown)

Have you tried any of the products? Or the box?

Quick Post // Danish Readers

Hi guys! I just wanted to write a quick post to all of my Danish readers. As I want to let them know that I’ve created a Danish blog. If you clicked onto this post in hope of a new post – look no further than clicking this link. I just posted a mascara review – is it a love or hate? Take a peek <3

Hey piger!

I må have en rigtig dejlig aften!

Review // L’oréal Paris Miss Manga Mega Volume Mascara

Yes, I’m one of those lucky ones with great eyelashes which means that I rarely find a mascara that I don’t like at all. I can almost always find some that I like or that I really really love. This isn’t the case though. I don’t want to get all negative about this mascara – but I think a good blog contains both the positive but also negative reviews. So here it goes. This mascara is the L’oréal Paris Miss Manga Mega Volume. I won this mascara and a whole box full of wonderfull makeup, thanks to you – so thank you or… Ah, just kidding.

I have heard quite a bit about this one – from a lot of UK bloggers and youtubers and I’m just not as impressed as everyone seems to be. First of all, I really don’t like the bending function but I think that’s a matter of personal taste. Another thing that I’m not keen on is the tapered brush. I have owned ones with tapered brushes that worked fine but in this case – nah. It is like the product accumulates to the “top” part of the brush which means that the inner lashes gets to much product on them.

Lastly – I really don’t like the formulation. It is sticky, has a weird smell.. The smell is something I could be okay with if the formulation was good.

Funny story – that wasn’t so fun: One of the days I tested it I had to go to work. I jumped on the bike and it was windy with a lot of small bugs in the air. The mascara was SO sticky that the small bugs got stuck on my lashes – what the F… No go mascara for me!

No-go’s:

– Bending funktion – personally not my taste
– Non-functioning tapered brush
– Too much product gets on the inner lashes
– Sticky and smelly

Have you tried the Miss Manga Mega Volume Mascara? What were our experience?

1-2-3 TESTING // HEAD & SHOULDERS THICK & STRONG SERIES

I just got my hands on these beauts. I have heard a bit about this line from Head & Shoulders through edifferent youtubers and I was intrigued. I want thicker and stronger hair – but everbody wants that, right? I saw them at the local supermarkedet and they where om offer – stupid not too.

I have, actually, always had prejudices about Head & Shoulders’ products. I don’t know why – maybe the fact that my flakey dad always used – and still – uses a shampoo from the brand. But now I feel like they are trying to target a younger crowd which is nice. Another theory is that I’m getting older and moving into their target group! I much prefer the first theory 😉

I won’t get into too much detail as I’m going to do a review in a month or so, when I have been testing it – and testing it good. The product from the line I’m most looking forward too is .. Yes, you guessed it – the Extra Thickining Treatment. It just have a fun concept plus a weird pump-thingy which you are supose to place on the scalp and pump the the product out. Easy peasy .. and fun.

Have you tried any products from Head & Shoulders – or even this line? What did you think?
