Nail Art // Dot dot dot

Hi pretty! How are you this Sunday? I have had a lovely week off from school and been home visiting my mamma and daddy. Superb nice and relaxing. I have not had varnish on my nail in, what feels like, forever so I have had a little nail pampering session.

The first thing I do before applying the varnish is to clean and polish them. The cuticles need to go go, so I use Sally Hansen Gel Cuticle Remover which works perfectly – all I need to get my hands on is a cuticle-remover-tool. I leave this on for 5 minutes or so and wash it of. Next I go and clean my nails with nail varnish remover and then I take my ELF Nourishing Cuticle Pen. I love this little gem which is filled with Avocado and Almond oils.

Now for the more exiting part! I was very much inspired by Lily Pebbles in this video to do this creation. I wanted to do something special now that it had been ages since my last nail session and I wanted to do something with white polish! This creation might be a bit summer-y but you could also do it with darker red colours to make it more Autumn-y.

My white varnish is from my loved L’Oréal Color Riche collection and is called Snow in Megeve. It needs two coats before it get opaque, I love the brush on these varnishes! You could leave it with the white, which actually looks quiet cool but as I said I wanted to do something special. So let the dotting begin!

Dot dot dot with three different colours or do it as I have done – OMBRE! I have used a pink, a orange and a yellow. Yep, summer-y. I start with the pink which is from my Maxfactor Glossfinity collection this one is in Disco Pink. I dot diagonal from the bottom left to the top right in one line. Then I take the orange in this case Rimmel London Lasting Finish in You’re A Cracker. I dot again from the bottom left to top right, but this time I do it on either side of the pink and I dot between the pink dots – if you know what I mean (I hope you can see it on the pictures) Lastly I do the same with the yellow – L’Oréal Color Riche in Exotic Canaries

And BAM your nails are dotted-ombre! I think I am going to only keep it on two nails on each hand but do it as you feel like 😉

What are your favourite Autumn nail trend? Do tell me in the comments, would love to create more nails! <3

Thank you so much for reading!

Wish List // Cherry Culture + Promo Code!

Hi there beautiful ! Yay, a new post from meeee. Hope you are doing well? I just got a job which means more shopping and saving for me! I am so freaking happy and to celebrate that I felt like shopping, as you do! But my purse won’t let me until payday on mondaaay so I thought that I would share a wish list from a online shop which stocks Milani and NYX and many other American brands – This is heaven for me as I really want to try some 🙂

I found this online shopping heaven via one of my favourite Danish youtubers – Nordicbeautysecrets. You Danish girls should definitely take a peek and subscribe to her channel. She has just done a haul featuring some products from Cherry Culture. She bought some Milani Color Statement Lipstick which looked gorgeous so I definitely needed some of those – afterwards she instagram’ed me that I needed to pick some up! The three colours I have picked are – from the top & down – Flamingo Pose, High Voltage and Ruby Valentine. How cute are the names? Love Flamingo Pose. Another product she showed in her haul was the Milani Baked Blushes in Rose D’oro. I have heard loads about these blushes and this colour looked beautiful and shimmer-y!

As for NYX products!? The list is endless but I needed to contain myself and only choose some products for my first Cherry-shopping-experience! The first thing that definitely will be coming home to mamma is the Nyx Mega Shine Lipgloss in Beige – which isn’t exactly beige, isn’t it 😉 If you have not seen the colour before then take a peek on the picture. The ‘beige’ is the pinky one 🙂 I’ve heard a great deal about this little gem and Cecilia (nordicbeautysecrets) have made me lustering even more. The only negative thing is the taste/smell but I think I can live with that. Yes, I am a little obsessed with lip products, so I of course need this Nyx Matte Lipstick in Pure Red – I haven’t tried any matte lipsticks and who doesn’t love a classic red lip? Lastly, the eyeshadow palette in Fall in Love in Paris looked so fitting for Autumn. They have a lot of different colours, trios and single eyeshadows.

If my first shipping goes well I will definitely be a regular shopper at Cherry Culture and if you feel like taking a peek and even shop now, then do it before Monday September 30th as they have a 40 % of everything! How insane is that? So what is the code well here it is – FBI2013

Also, if you have any recommendation for Jordana products, do let me know in the comments as I would love to try some of their products too <3

Have a fab Friday and happy Cherry Shopping

Thank you so much for reading – oh and I am this months Member of the Month over on elfcosmeticsdk’s blog – yaaay <3

What’s in my bag // School Edition

Hi girlies! How are you this Sunday? I am sat her by the computer, watching (listening) to I am number 4 – Dang! Alex Pettyfer is easy on the eyes – and a bit hungover from last night fun! 🙂 Whilst sat here I thought it would be the perfect time to show you what is in my school bag.

My bag is my new love, I just got it this month and we are already head over heels. It is the Zara Office City Bag. This is quite a blogger bag and I kept seeing it both in the blogger scene but also on youtube. One of the reviews I saw that made me buy it was from the ever so gorgeous Viviannadoesmakeup she is such an enabler without even knowing it 😉 Another youtuber and blogger that has just done a video about the bag is Katie from Sugarfixbeauty – love her videos. I love that the bag has room and protection for my computer which was one the reasons why I had to have it. It has loads of different compartments so it is really perfect for school or as an office bag – off course.

There are 3 big compartments, I use one for my computer, one for my lunch and my water bottle which is from Eva Trio and is BPA free and one for everything else. In one of the zipped compartments, I bring a magazine, if I just happen to feel like reading a magazine, sadly the interwebs wins 99.9 % of the time. This one is a Danish fitness one, I thought it would keep me motivated with my weight loss journey which you can follow here but then again, instagram is also really great for some motivation!

Beauty-vise, I seem to find loads of lippy products. As I don’t really wear face makeup on a daily basis I don’t need powder etc. to freshen up. These gorgeous lippy gems are some I use basically everyday at the moment. The chubby stick is my first Clinique product and I am definitely not disappointed. The Clinique Chubby Sticks are as good as everyone say they are. My chubby stick is the colour in Roomiest Rose, such a cute and cosy name btw, and such a lovely wearable colour! The little green thingy is my all time favourite lip balm and is from Mentholatum (I think it is a Danish brand). Lastly but definitely not least is my Rimmel London Apocalips in Big Bang*! This has quickly become my favourite colour out of the bunch. This colour is not available here so I was so happy when Rimmel announced that I had won it on twitter 2 weeks ago. As for my hands I have my beloved Nuxe Paris Créme Mains Et Ongles Hand and Nail Cream. This comes with me everywhere and is almost empty, unfortionately it is a bit expensive so I will have to try some cheaper versions out. For my hair I always bring some hair pins and a tie, so that is what is in here too. This hair tie is ‘healthy’ for the hair and I love it.

Lastly I always bring my planner, purse, computer cord and some pens in my Chinese purse which I bought whilst I to a semester in China. And of course my homework papers even though a lot of the reading is on my computer 🙂

Do let me know in the comments if you want to see a review of the bag with some more detailed pictures!

Thank you so much for reading!

Weight Loss Wednesday // You need to start somewhere

Howdy lovelies! This post is getting up a little late, but better late than never – right? 🙂 As I wrote in my last post, I am beginning to change my lifestyle and hopefully loose some (read a lot) of weight. I really want to share it with you both to hold myself accountable but also because of the positive response I got from twitter when I asked if you would be interested! I actually just came home from a Thai-bo class, don’t know if I like it yet so I am pumped to write this post! 🙂

This is the first post in this monthly – maybe every other week – post. This one is just an introduction so I’m not going to go into details, as I would like some suggestions on what you would like me to write about for these posts. I wasn’t thinking it would be Dear Diary-like, I was thinking more beauty related. It could be What’s In My Gym Bag, food I eat which also effect the skin, hair etc., tips and tricks, fave fitness youtube videos and posts like that. Some of the posts are going to be personal and Dear Diary-like with updates on how it this goes – hopefully it is going to go good and positive! But I really want to maintain a beauty related blogger 🙂

Please do leave me some suggestions in the comments on what you would like to read about 🙂

This was a sweet and short post but just wanted to get this series started, next WLW (Weight loss Wednesday) will be more informative, fun and hopefully weight lossyyy 🙂

Now I will get back to #bbloggers chat on twitter – love it! Especially Wednesdays chat!

Happy Wednesday and thanks so much for reading!

Lot of love

Review // ELF Blush in Pink Passion

Hi lovelies! Today have been a little tiring day for. I want to be more healthy and that means to change my lifestyle and diet which also means tiredness and headaches – for me at least. I’m going to do a post every month or maybe more frequently about my journey to be more healthy and losing weight. I asked on twitter the other day if you would be interested in lifestyle-weight loss-posts and I only received positive feedback! So I think I am going to do those on Wednesday’s and call them Weight loss Wednesday or something. Do tell me if you have a better name idea 🙂

Well enough about that, more about it on Wednesday. So in the beginning of August, ELF had an awesome offer and I, of course, had to get my mitts in some stuff. Want to see the huge haul? Well then you have to click this little link. I wanted to do a little review on this ELF blush as many of you requested a review of it. This blush was one of the first products that I threw in my basket and the reason for that being – I saw it in a youtube video! Damn you youtube-beauty-girls/gurus! The beauty guru in particular was the oh so lovely Tanya Burr and the video was the 20 dollar makeup challenge

This ELF Blush in Pink Passion is a gorgeous barbie pink colour. At first it seems really pink and neon-like but when you swatch it, it is just so beautiful. This little gem have become one of my favourite blushes as it gives a beautiful natural flush to the cheeks. This blush in particular is not crazy pigmented but I do not mind that as it is so pink. I own two more of these blushes and they are more pigmented so I think it is because of the colour – could you imagine running around with this much pink on your cheeks? 😉 The blush is matte but paired with the perfect highligther it is B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. I usually reach for the ELF Baked Blush in Pinktastic – it is the perfect combo! Do let me know if you want to see a review? 🙂

In terms of the packaging – I love it! It kind of reminds me of the NARS packaging, even though I don’t own anything from there, I wish I did though, – but in pictures, they look quite similar! 🙂 It feels more expensive than it really is and it has a tiny mirror in the lid which is fine but it is too small for me to see anything. Can you believe that this blush only retails for £3.75 and I got it for just £1.8 with the offer!? It’s crazy.

Have you tried anything from ELF? Something I need to get my mitts on?

Have a lovely Monday evening and thanks so much for reading! <3

Review // L’Oréal Ever Sleek Shampoo & Conditioner

Hi lovelies! Hope you are having a fab weekend? Mine has been a relaxing one for once. Tonight I am having a night in with myself, B&J and a good chick-flick! Tomorrow is in the name of homework – unfortunately!

While listening to the rain poring down and feeling the fresh air I will now give you a review of the shampoo and conditioner I have been using and testing over the summer. In July I was lucky enough to get chosen to test out some L’Oréal hair care products. I have a blog post all about it here, if you haven’t read it. Well, I got quite a few products, both some for me but also some for two of my friends, so they are also testing some products out – Do let me know in the comments if you want a review from them as none of us were testing the same products.

My hair is coloured, curly and really frizzy so these bottles of goodness were perfect for my hair. I got the ones for Frizzy Overworked Hair, also called the Eversleek* range. This range is filled with botanical extract and sunflower oils which just smells lovely and stops the frizzyness. It smells really creamy – and nope you are not getting anything else out of me when it comes to the scent 😉

The only preference I have when come to shampoo is that it have to foam – a lot. I love when shampoo foams and lathers up. Now for this shampoo it lathers up beautifully and does what it is suppose to and it smells great while doing it. As you can hear, I am more of a conditioner kind of girl. Conditioners have to really soften up my hair, give my natural curls a whirl and dim the frizzyness! This conditioner does the work. It has a creamy consistency that I haven’t seen before but I quite like it. I would recommend this shampoo and conditioner and I would definitely buy it again, but not straight away. As many other bloggers I love testing products and I have never been quite the religious-shampoo-&-conditioner-type.

Let me know if you have any recommendations to which shampoo and conditioner I should try next! I have curls and coloured ombre at the moment, and loving it!

Have a lovely weekend and Saturday night, what ever you are doing! Thanks so much for reading <3

Collection // The Body Shop Part 2

Hi beauties! I have a little obsession with The Body Shop products – I simply just love them. I love the scents, the effect and the brand. In July I did a guest post on Becky’s blog about my The Body Shop Collection and as I thought the post would be too long I split it up in two. This is part two if you fancy reading part 1 this little link will take you there. Psst. I talk about a body butter scent I didn’t like and my love for coconut and mango scented items.

The Body Shop Mango Body Butter
Firstly, as I wrote in my last post, I have quite dry skin so a lot of my products from The Body Shop are for that purpose. One of the best selling products from TBS is their body butters – and yup they are amazing. One of my favourites and repurchases over and over again is the Mango scented one. This one is amazing. It has a creamy thick butter-ish texture which I love, especially for my very dry leggies. I use this body butter once or twice a week just to give my body a little extra love. Usually I only use the Nivea In-Shower which I just did a review on here

The Body Shop Vitamin C Energising Face Spritz & Skin Boost
A new addition to the TBS family is the Vitamin C range. I actually like this range a lot and have 2 products from there. One of them is the Energising Face Spritz which is a pick-me-up kind of spray. I use this in the morning after cleansing just to pick my otherwise dull skin up. It has a nice, fresh scent to it. As it is Vitamin C and the bottle is orange you kind of guess the scent – oranges mixed with satsuma. Nice and fresh in the mornings. My other product from this range it the Skin Boost which is not shown here, as I bought it after taking the photos but I wanted to give it a little mention. The formula of this is hard to describe but it is kind of a thick-thick oil of some sort and it makes your skin feel silky soft. I use this after moisturising in the evening as it can make my skin a bit oily, but it works fine over night.

The Body Shop Maringa Shower Gel
I actually have now idea why I have the big bottle of the Moringa Shower Gel. It’s lovely but I haven’t got a clue to why I got the big bottle, it might have been a present of some sort. This is a lovely shower gel and I have had this bottle for absolutely ages. The scent is a flowery one which isn’t too over powering and would be great for a not-loving-the-strong-scent kind of person. I love it and love the pump too, makes it so much easier when you’re showering.

The Body Shop Satsuma Beautifying Oil
The last product I wanted to show you is the Satsuma Beautifying Oil. I just got this product this summer so haven’t been using it all that much. I believe that it is a new product range The Body Shop just came out with. The oil is perfect for the summer time when you want to show your legs and arms as the oil gives you an extra glow and shininess. I will definitely use more next summer. The scent is nice, summer-y and fresh.

Lastly, I have loads of samples that I haven’t tried yet but I am going to soon.

What is your favourite product from The Body Shop – both beauty and skin care?

Have a fantastic day and thanks so much for reading! <3

Bath Review // Nivea In-Shower Body Milk Skin Conditioner

Hi girlies! May I just say that this feels really really weird! I have had to take some time of from blogging as my brain wouldn’t function and I couldn’t concentrate and I didn’t want to put up a post just to put up at post as it would probably feel forced and suck. But now I am back! I have tons of ideas for posts and feel motivated to start blogging again. I love it and I love spending time reading and writing blog posts – It is my favourite hoppy – ever
Good – let’s get going with today’s post. I have a review for you, and it is an exciting one. First of all I have to confess something to you. I DO NOT like to moisturise my body, I do it because it is necessary for my skin as it’s very dry especially my leggies but I am not a fan of it. So when I heard that Nivea had come out with a solution to my problem, I jumped on my bike and pedaled faster than you can say silky-smooth-bodaay and got my mitts in one.
This blue bottle of goodnes have saved me time and irritated times. It gives me soft and nice looking skin. It is perfect and this bottle is not going to be my last. There are some downsides to it, though. It builds up on your hands when you have applied it to your body which is a little annoying but it is not a deal breaker for me, I just take a bit of one of my scrubs and scrub it off. The other downside is that, I don’t know about you guys, but I am not a big fan off the Nivea smell. So once or twice a week I do apply some other moisturiser with a nice scent 🙂
The product is a conditioner for your body, easy to apply and easy to work into your shower routine. This one is for dry skin but they also made one for normal skin. I apply this when I have conditioner in my hair. I don’t let it sit for long, I just rinse it off when I am done applying it then I get out of the shower, dry myself with a towel and I am good to go – with some clothes on of course.

Have you tried the Nivea In-Shower Body Milk Skin Conditioner?
Do let me know in the comments what you thought about it. Also let me know if there is another brand coming out with something like it, would love to try it out.
Thanks so much for reading, it is good to be back! <3
