Payday Wishlist

Tomorrow is the day. The day where you get paid. Finally! I just love paydays, but then again everybody love paydays 😉 So, I thought that I would do a little payday wishlist.

Now, I saw this little fun idea over at Kayleigh’s blog, so I thought that I would make one myself. Here we go:

1) THE BODY SHOP Mango Body Scrub: I’ve had this before in a sample size and I love it. My legs are very dry and this scrub is for very dry skin and it works. My legs feels fabulous after using this. So I’ve been craving for this in a while and tomorrow I’m gonna get it.

2) MICHAEL TODD TRUE ORGANIC Avocado and Mango Facial Mask: Wups, a long name. I’ve heard a lot about this brand through my addiction to watching youtube videos. All of their products are free from any nasties and they are organic. I just want to know what all of the fuzz is about. If you want to know more about this brand, here’s a link.
Now to this particular product. I really want a new face mask, so I went and looked at their site, and this sounds really lovely. It’s suppose to be really hydrating and leave the face feeling nourished and soft.

3) RIMMEL LONDON Apocalips: I haven’t got that much to say about these other than I LOVE THEM. I already have two and I need more. Plus, I just saw that they have been released in the local drugstore in Denmark. Yes, please!

4) GARNIER BB Cream: I haven’t tried any BB creams yet but I really wanna try them. It is suppose to give a light coverage which is perfect when the weather starts getting warmer. This Garnier one is cheap and I’ve heard that it is a great purchase.

5)THE BODY SHOP Coconut Body Butter: If you love them smell of coconut, you’ll love this. But if you can’t stand the smell of it, you’ll hate this. I’ve had this before as well. I got a sample of this and the coconut scrub as a Christmas present from my brother and that made me miss it. And since I’ve used the samples all up I’ve been wanting buy it again. The coconut butter is for dry skin, so again great for my legs – and of course the rest of my body.

6) MICHAEL TODD TRUE ORGANICS Intensive Organic Eye Cream: I need a good eye cream. The one I use now – is not bad but it just doesn’t do it for me. So, hopefully this is a good eye cream. I love that it come with a pump instead of a jar.

7) MICHAEL TODD TRUE ORGANICS Jojoba Charoal Face Scub: There’s just something about this scrub that I really want to try. The Jojoba wax beads provide a gentle exfoliation which is great for all skin types.

This is my little wishlist. While writing this I got even more exited about these products. I need them now 😉
I’m definitely going to make a cheeky purchase on Michael Todd’s site. Yay.

Have you tried any of the products in this post? What is on your payday wishlist this month? If you have a blog an you’ve made one please link it below, I would love to see it and discover new products 🙂

Have a lovely day

Review: EYE LOVE RIMMEL

EYE love Rimmel! .. You see what I did there? Eye, I? Yeah, you see it. Let’s get going with this post.

I don’t know about you guys but I think that Rimmel London is killing it with their products right now! I love their blushes, The Apocalips, The Wake Me Up concealer and foundation and these 2 eye products:

RIMMEL LONDON Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara: The product details you get, from Rimmel London, when you buy it says:
Our first ultra lengthening mascara that defies the laws of lash length Length that defies limits. Formula with micro-fibres-instant wow: Extends lashes by up to 99 %. Lash catching brush grabs every lash for perfect separation. No clumps!

A couple of weeks ago, when I was in the middle of getting ready for my grandparents’ 50 years wedding anniversary, my mom walked in and said: “Honey, which mascara are you using? Your lashes look so long and full. May I borrow it?” I just thought: Yes, yes, yes, it works! And she could of course borrow it 😉

To be honest, I wasn’t that impressed by the product at first, but I think it is a product that you have to use a couple of times before you get use to it. For me, it had to dry fast out a bit before I liked it and the formula had to be worked into the lashes before you see the result.
Now, I can’t live without it. The wand is different from what I usually like. I usually go for the BIG wands. But I love that it is thinner in the end, so it catches all of the small lashes.

I don’t know if it’s just something that I imagine but I feel that my lashes have grown a bit since I started using  it. What can I say, I just really like this mascara.

RIMMEL LONDON Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner: The product info for these is:
Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner gives instant colour impact with it’s high intensity pigments. The ultra smooth & creamy formula glides on easily and doesn’t budget. Smudge-proof and waterproof.

When I ordered the mascara on ASOS, I was in need of some new eyeliners so bought these. It was just an impulse buy but I’m glad I did it. These are really soft but when applied they dry fast so the don’t smudge. I use the black on the upper lash line to define the eyes and the nude on the lower lash line to open up the eyes.

They are cheap, superb easy to work with and they don’t smudge! It comes in 7 different colours. I really want to try the other colours too – the Brightblue, Bronze and Deep Purple looks so nice. Take a peek here if you want to see the different colours.

All in all, I’m really impressed with these two products and I would definitely recommend them to you guys! In general, I’m really happy with Rimmel products right now!

Have you tried any of the products? What did you think? And what are your favourite products from Rimmel London right now? Let me know in the comments beelooow!

Have a nice sunny Saturday! <3

Bedside Table: Sick Addition

I’ve been sick the last week and a half and I’m finally starting to feel good again. So I thought it would be kinda fun? to show you guys how I survived!

And yes, I’m nearly 22 and I still have my teddy bear from when I was 5 and it was waaay bigger than me.

Firstly, I had to go to the doctor to get some penicillin for my throat infection and otitis – these definitely help me getting better! But tea, magazines and cream wasn’t bad either.

TEA WITH HONEY: Served in my Starbucks mug from Shanghai, of course. I drink green tea with either the taste of lemon or mango. Normally, I don’t use any sweetener in my tea, but the honey calms the throat so therefore I put about a teaspoon honey in my tea.

STREPSILS: These lozenges with honey and lemon, again, also helps with a sore throat. And they taste good!

CREAM: When you’ve blown your nose over and over and over again it gets a little dry, so I’ve used the NUXE Hand and Nail Cream which works wunders for both my hands and my nose! I of course also used a lot of moisturizer for my face – love the little sample from Korres which I got in My Beauty Box.

LIP BALM: My lips got dry and chipped a bit. Do I need to say more! I love this lip balm with mentholatum.

WATER: When you’re sick you need to get hydrated. Water is your BFF in this – and every – situation.

MAGAZINES: You need some entertainment! So, besides watching loads of TV, including a recap of The O.C. (One of my all time favourite shows) I read a lot of magasines – fashion, beauty and fitness.

This is my little survival kit! What are some of your survival-sickness-essentials? Let me know in the comments below.

First Impression: Real Techniques – “Core Collection”

Finally, finally, FINALLY! I’m now the lucky owner of some Real Techniques brushes, and I’m so happy and excited.

I’ve been following the Pixiwoo Sisters for a looong time now, and I’ve always loved their videos. So, of course, I wanted to try these brushes by Sam Chapman (One of the sisters)

Easter came, and so did pay day. I quickly went on Look Fantastic to look and buy some brushes. One of the things I love about this site is the Free Worldwide Delivery and you get a little sample with your parcel, YES!

Let’s get going with my first impression.

REAL TECHNIQUES – Core Collection £20: You get 4 brushes as seen on the pictures and listed below and the quality of the brushes is amazing. They are really soft and seem easy to work with. Plus, I adore the design.

I decided to buy The Core Collection because of the Buffing- and Detailer Brush. I want to use the buffing brush to apply my liquid foundation as I feel that it will work the foundation flawlessly into the skin. I want to use the Detailer Brush for applying lipstick, as I need a good lip brush.

Contour Brush: Delicately applies highlighter to contour or create sheer, soft-focus finish.
Pointed Foundation Brush: Use with liquid foundation to build costum coverage.
Detailer Brush: Precision cut to effortlessly conceal problem areas; or, use with lipstick for long-lasting shape and definition.
Buffing Brush: Ideal for full coverage application of powder and mineral foundation.

I love that Real Techniques have made three brush sets, that comes with a Panoramic Case which can be used as both a brush-case-bag and as a stand, see picture 4, 6 and 7. These cases also have extra room for other brushes, as you can se on picture 5, and since you can buy single RT brushes, there will be perfect room to put them there. Plus, the extra room is perfect for other brushes too 😉

OVERALL, my first impression is really great and I’m definitely going to do a review when I’ve tried them out!

Have you tried any of the Real Techniques brushes? What did you think? What are some of your favourite brushes? Let me now in the comments below 🙂

Have a nice day

I Am A Cookie Monster

Hello, my name is Marie-Louise and I’m a chocolaty cookie monster! Here I imaging all of you saying: Hi, Marie-Louise! Welcome. As I’m sure a lot of you will get addicted to these triple-chocolate cookies that I’m now gonna share with you!

I shared the finished cookie on instagram and got a lot of likes in no time. Pssst, if you wanna follow me on instagram my username is mlhauken.

It was a beautiful day when I decided to take a bike ride into town to buy all of the ingredients.

This recipe makes 12:
200 g. Unsalted butter
275 g. Self-raising flour
300 g. Caster Sugar
1 Large egg
75 g. Cocoa powder
3 BIG bars of chocolate (Dark, Milk and White) I didn’t use all of the shown chocolate
+ A splash of milk

Start by mixing the soften butter and sugar together with a electric whisk when it’s creamy crack in the egg and whisk away. Then throw in all of the dry ingredients, and whisk, whisk, whisk. At this point it might be a little dry, so give the mixture a splash of milk. Now mix in the chocolate, I quickly did this with my hands. Line up two trays with baking paper and make 12 hand full size balls and place them on the trays – far apart from each other. Pop the trays in, in a preheated fan-oven at 220C (200C non-fan) for 10 minutes. They will be superb soft and seem unbaked but leave them to cool for around 30 minutes – Yes, you’ll have to wait a little bit longer. But after 30 minutes they will be stiffen but still soft and warm.

Pour a glass of milk and enjoy them warm. I’ve tried to taste them cold, but they are so much better warm. So, if you’re eating them later in the day or the day after, just pop them in the microwave for 10 seconds and they will be ready.

Let me know if you try these cookies in the comments below. Hope you liked this little cookie post, I enjoyed writing it and baking these cookies, which I saw over at Vivannadoesmakeup.

Have a lovely Friday

Shopping: Spring Wedding Anniversary

On the 10th of April 1963 two very important people in my life walked down the aisle and got married. These two people are my mother’s parents and my grand parents. So, on Wednesday the 10th of April 2013 we are celebrating their love to each other and their 50th wedding anniversary! Therefore, I did a little shopping:

I have a thing for Topshop dresses so this was one of the first places I looked. I just fell in LOVE with this beautiful orange shift dress. The colour is great for spring and summer. I think I can use this dress both as a dressy evening outfit or for a casual spring day.
The only problem is that I ordered it a bit too late, so I’m still waiting for the nice post lady to come with my parcel! Fingers crossed that it will be here tomorrow.. Nice, M-L, nice! Irony is in the air.

My sister ordered her dress on Asos, so I quickly jumped for the chance to get me some Rimmel Apocalips! I really wanted the colour called Big Bang but it was sold out, together with a lot of the other colours, so my only choices were Stella and Celestial, so that is what I got! Now, they are at my sister’s, so I haven’t seen them yet but I think that I’m going to wear Stella (The strong pink one) on Wednesday!

I needed a nude and a new black eyeliner so I wanted to try the Rimmel ones – they are suppose to be good. The belt is also from Asos.

Strong orange dress, strong pink lips, simple winged eyeliner and black pumps! This is going to be great, if I get the dress!

So, are you going to some big family events this year? Have you tried any of these products? What do you think of them? Let me now in the comments beeelooow 😉

Have a nice night… Or day, depending on where in the World you are 🙂
