BEAUTY // CURRENTLY TESTING #1

Well hello you lovely lady! Right now I’m busy writing my PBA in Purchasing Management. Baaah. I need a subject which I really passionate it about but I’m currently stuck. So I thought I would take a tiny break and show you the stuff, I’m testing at the moment.

Rimmel London Provocalips – I just picked these bad boys up. I wanted to test a nude and a bright colour as these sometimes perform different. The nude colour is a pink-nude with the name 110 Dare To Pink. I have a thing for red lips so I had to pick up 500 Kiss Me You Fool. These are advertised as kiss proof lip colours and should last 16 hours. So I’m waking up early tomorrow!

Chleopatra Copenhagen Oils* – I was contacted by Chleopatra Copenhagen a couple of weeks ago and they wanted to mail me some oils. I picked Rosehip Oil as I have heard loads about this and I Prickly Pear Seed Oil as this sounded interesting. So excited to see the results.

NUXE Paris Rêve De Miel Lip BalmWhen I was picking up the Provocalips I stumbled upon a giftbox with this beauty. I have heard SO much good about this! Yup this is going on my lips as we speak.

Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence – This is my first Philip Kingsley product which I received in my Look Fantastic Beauty Box and I have to say that I’m looooooving it. That’s all. Watch this space for a review soon.
Any requests on what you want to see a review of first? What are you currently testing?

NEW IN // BRUSHES FT. REAL TECHNIQUES & ECOTOOLS

I love makeup brushes – I just have a thing for them. So when I was looking for a new perfume, I found Fragrancedirect.co.uk which is a website with cheap perfumes but also cheap beauty stuff. I found these gorgeous brushes and some other stuff which I will show you in a later post.

I La la la LOVE Real Technique brushes, I have a bunch and this is definitely not the last. I was in need of a big fluffy Powder Brush. This one is, like the other RT brushes, superb soft and feels nice on the skin. I so happy with this purchase and at only £9.99 it’s a bargain!

While looking at brushes I also found this beauty of a brush set. It is the Eco Tools Fresh & Flawless Complexion Set. The set contains 5 brushes, in a travel friendly size. I was a bit surprised by the size but it’s perfect for when I go home in the weekends. The best thing about these brushes are that they a superb soft and they were only £10.99 for all 5 brushes!

Do you love makeup brushes as much as me? Which brand is your favourite?

WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS #1

Hi you lovely ladies! How did you like my 10 Notes for 2015 post? I think it’s quite exciting and would love it if would link yours if you have a similar post. Now to today’s post. I love seeing what people got for Christmas so I thought that I would show you what I got.

Here, we give and receive presents on Christmas Eve but my parents are divorced so my siblings and I celebrate Christmas Eve both on the 23. and 24. of December. On the 23. we were at my dads this year – so here are the presents I got from my sister & her boyfriend and from my dad.

My sister knows that I love Rimmel London – a lot! So she got me 2 beauts from the brand. The first one is the Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Paint in Rich Rosset, a gorgeous colour and product. I already own this product so I exchanged it to something else which I’ll be writing about later in the month. The Stay Blushed! Liquid Cheek Tint is a product which I’ve been eyeing up for such a long time, so I was very happy to get it in this beautiful coral colour – Sunkissed Cherry. Lastly, they also got me some face masks from Montagne Jennesse.

Which beauty junkie doesn’t like to get vouchers for a beauty junkie’s fix  😉 Matas is a little bit like Boots and I’m so happy with this present! With the voucher I also got a great sized sample of the Clarins Super Restorative Night Wear which I’m excited to try.

#2 will be up later in the week. What did you get for Christmas? Please link your post! <3

PRETTY POLISHES + UPDATE

Hi ladies! So I think I’ll get the update out of the way. I have been meaning to blog A LOT MORE than what I’ve done but I have had some kind of weird virus which has slowed my computer down and have tested my patience. I had to get my hands in a extern hard disk so I could save everything before I reinstalled my computer. Yes it’s kind of complicated but the point is that I’m able to blog again and that makes me so happy <3

So now to the fun part of this post – the polishes! Over the last couple of weeks I have collected these gorgeous polishes. These gems are some that I’am going to use loads over the next couple of weeks – though my nails are so short and totally broken – I have no idea why. Stress maybe?

Rimmel London is one of my all time fave makeup brands so I have no idea why this is my first polish from the brand. I have only heard great thing about their Salon Pro range and so I picked up the colour 402 Urban Purple. It’s a beautiful pink-ish purple and so pretty if you’re not feeling the reds this season.

I have been meaning to pick something up from & Other Stories – gorgeous brand and definitely a brand I could see myself get more from. I picked this beautiful deep deep navy colour with the name Crespo Midnight. It’s very dark – almost black – but in the right light it’s so beautiful!

Believe it or not but I just noticed that every polish is a first for me! haha. Polishes from The Body Shop are one of my moms favourite brands and so she gave me a polish. Originally it was a classical red but I felt I needed something a little different in my collection and that’s how I got my first The Body Shop Polish in the colour Got The Blues

Have you tried any of these? Would you like to see some NOTD? Let me know in the comments! <3

NOTD // BOYSENBERRY

As soon as the calendar says 1. September, I bring out my darker and much loved polish shades. Normally I go for the dark red and burgundy colours but in this case I fell head over heels for this beauty. I la la love my darker nails and I could easily wear them all year round. More fitting for spring/summer are my love for pastels.

This Gina Tricot Beauty Boysenberry is a gorgeous red-toned purple. I had this on last week and now I just have to apply it again – that’s how much I love it. I sense a monthly fave! The polishes from GT are ok, they are not the best but a good Top Coat will do the tricker.

What are you wearing on your nails atm? What is your fave colour for A/W?

HAUL // MY FIRST BITS FROM MAKEUP REVOLUTION

I actually had an #lfbeautybox post planned but I wished and sat by the door this morning and it worked. My Makeup Revolution parcel arrived. I actually think that the postman got surprized by how quick I opened the door. haha.

Last week, I convinced my sister to make an order with me on Makeup Rev’s siteOh little convincing needed.  I just thought that she needed more make up – but who doesn’t? I have been seeing lots of tweets, blogposts and instagram pictures and I really needed to try some bits so we made a small order last week just to try it out and the parcel already arrived. Yaaas, that was quick!

I won’t say much about the products other than:
– Yes I needed a purple PURPLE lippy
– Yes I need more blushes. && look at this beauty!
– And no, I haven’t heard a lot about the eye primer but it sounded interesting

– Yes, yes & yes – I will be ordering from MR again. Their customer service is fab – especially their contact via twitter.

Have you made an order from Makeup Rev? Have you tried any of these products?

HOW TO // PERFECT MATTE LIP ft. NYX MATTE LIPSTICK

Hi there lovely ladies! How are you this Friday? Hopefully you have a nice weekend planned? I have to work and then I will relax with writing on my blogs. A nice and cosy weekend.

It’s mid November and my mood have been christmassy for over a month now – already! I love that the supermarkets, shopping malls and the city is starting to get all decorative. There is just something about Christmas that makes it my favourite time of the year. It’s cosy, everyone is happy and you can spoil your loved ones.

I also love that you can wear a red lip on a daily basis without people starring too much. Now, I love a red lip but what I love more is a matte red lip. So I thought that I would share my how to get the perfect matte red lip.

The first product I use is a lip scrub. Exfoliation is a must when I have to apply a matte lip. It removes the dead skin and smooths the lips. I la la love my LUSH Mint Julips. The price is good, the taste is fab and it just works as it should. Now I love a good mint flavoured lip scrub so when my LUSH one rand out I picked this Sara Happ Peppermint up. This is a lot more expensive but dang I love it.

Next you need some hydration and moisture. I love to apply my Nivea Lip Butter. This one is the original one but any flavour is great. Moisture is the key to a good matte lip. Lastly, you will need the colour – duuh. This NYX Matte Lipstick in Perfect Red is gorgeous! I love the formula, I love the colour. It’s just fab! It glides on and stay put for lots of hours.

Volá. Perfect matte lips just in time for the Christmas season!

Do you love matte lips as much as I do? Which matte lipstick is your fave?

BEAUTY BOX // LOOK FANTASTIC OKTOBER

I like, I LOVE beauty boxes. It’s like getting a surprice every month – except for the fact that I pay for it myself 😉

The market for beauty boxes and “surprise”in general seems to be growing and you have a lot of choices. I have only once been subcribed to a beauty box – and it was fine but then again not totally worth trowing £15 after it every month. You also HAD to be subcribed for the box every month – which my wallet wasn’t really hooting for. So I’m so happy that Look Fantastic came out with this badass beauty box where you don’t have to be tied up – you only have to remember to order next months box before it gets sold out. Easy peasy.

This is the first box – out of, hopefully, many – I have received. I think it is a quite nice box for only £15 if I might say so. As you can see on the pictures I got 7 products which I’m looking forward to test and review on a later stage.

All of the products are travel size which is nice when you’re trying new products out. One product however is full size, the Balance Me Facial Expression Filler which is £22 – this product costs more than the whole box – woot woot!

Here’s a list of all the products, prices and links:

L’oréal Professionnel Serie Expert Pro-Keratin Refill (Shampoo 75 ml) – Full Size 250 ml, £10.99
L’oréal Professionnel Serie Expert Pro-Keratin Refill (Hår Maske 75 ml) – Full Size 200 ml, £13.99
Korres Citrus Shower Gel (50 ml) – Full Size 250 ml, £8
KMS California Free Shape Quick Blow Dry (75 ml) – Full Size 200 ml,  £11.45
Balance Me Facial Expression Filler (15 ml) – Full Size 15 ml, £22
Gatineau Paris Collagene Expert Ultimate Smoothing Cream (15 ml) – Full Size 50 ml, £54.19
This Works Sleep Plus Pillow Spray (5 ml) – Full Size 75 ml, £25 (not shown)

Have you tried any of the products? Or the box?

Review // L’oréal Paris Miss Manga Mega Volume Mascara

Yes, I’m one of those lucky ones with great eyelashes which means that I rarely find a mascara that I don’t like at all. I can almost always find some that I like or that I really really love. This isn’t the case though. I don’t want to get all negative about this mascara – but I think a good blog contains both the positive but also negative reviews. So here it goes. This mascara is the L’oréal Paris Miss Manga Mega Volume. I won this mascara and a whole box full of wonderfull makeup, thanks to you – so thank you or… Ah, just kidding.

I have heard quite a bit about this one – from a lot of UK bloggers and youtubers and I’m just not as impressed as everyone seems to be. First of all, I really don’t like the bending function but I think that’s a matter of personal taste. Another thing that I’m not keen on is the tapered brush. I have owned ones with tapered brushes that worked fine but in this case – nah. It is like the product accumulates to the “top” part of the brush which means that the inner lashes gets to much product on them.

Lastly – I really don’t like the formulation. It is sticky, has a weird smell.. The smell is something I could be okay with if the formulation was good.

Funny story – that wasn’t so fun: One of the days I tested it I had to go to work. I jumped on the bike and it was windy with a lot of small bugs in the air. The mascara was SO sticky that the small bugs got stuck on my lashes – what the F… No go mascara for me!

No-go’s:

– Bending funktion – personally not my taste
– Non-functioning tapered brush
– Too much product gets on the inner lashes
– Sticky and smelly

Have you tried the Miss Manga Mega Volume Mascara? What were our experience?
