Review // Burberry Weekend

If there’s is one thing (amongst a whole list) I’m bad at describing – it’s perfume scents! Are you the same way – or is it just me? I’m not the biggest perfume lover, it’s just something I kind of “forget” to put on in the morning. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a smelly person but I have to really (like in REALLY!) love a perfume to remember to spray some wifs in the morning.

With that being said I’ve found two gems that I think will stay in my collection for years! One of them is Burberry Weekend. I’ve been meaning to pick this up ever since I got a sample a couple of years ago. So when I went into the local drugstore every now and then (read: everyday) I asked for a sample just to make sure that I wanted to invest in it. I love the scent and I can’t believe it has taken me so long to get it.

The bottle is what I would associate with Burberry – very elegant and classic. It looks pretty and slik next to my colourful Stella McCartney – The Print Collection which is my other perfume love!

As for the scent, I would say it’s pretty casual and for day-time! According to the interweb the perfume’s notes are; Soft Peach, Apricot, Marigold, Sandalwood, Vanilla and Musk. So  quite fruity but still not too overwhelming and still fresh.

Every time I – remember to – spray some wifs I get quite a few compliments. Don’t we all love compliments? So wif wif wif with this one errry day! This is definitely a perfume I’m regretting not getting the bigger size in *Slaps on the wrist* Maybe a cheeky airport-buy when I’m going home from Vietnam!?

Which one is your absolute go-to perfume at the moment? Maybe I pick up some ideas.

Lots of love – from Vietnam

Giveaway // New Blog Design & Name

As you may – or may not – have noticed, I’ve gotten a new blog design! I’ve been munching with the idea for quite some time now – yes I’ve tweeted A LOT about it previously. I just needed a new back-to-blogging-refresher and a design seems to be kicker and motivator.

I got my design from Etsy after I saw Becky from Lipgloss & Lashes new design. It’s so pretty and girlie! I always need to check her blog, she’s one of my faves. Well, she got her design on etsy and I HAD to peek. I quickly found a design that I adored from the same seller – Shiny Magic. Lynsey, the seller, was easy to chat with and very helpful, do check her designs out here

After deciding on a design, I also took the plunge and did something I (also) have been munching with – I changed blog name, and I kinda really like the new name. Here’s a little explanation on the words and why. Mint; because I freaking love everything mint-y – ice cream, chocolate, my Lush lipscrub etc. Laugh; is a word that describes me pretty well. I love to have a good laugh even if it’s me that’s causing the laughing! Finally lipstick; Do I even need to explain?

Oh well, to celebrate my new blog design, name and .. just cause, I would like to treat one of you with one of my favourite lippes at the moment + a surprise!

All you have to do is fill out this little rafflecopter and you’re in for the chance to win some goodies. The giveaway is INTERNATIONAL and will run for 30 days! Good luck sweeties!

Steep or Steal // Skater Skirt & Dark Lips
(Click on the picture to see the exact prices)

OK I was really inspired by one of my best friends with this outfit! She wore a skater skirt with a pink knitted jumper this Sunday and dang I wanted that skirt. So I thought I would show you how I would style it with dark lips and nails for this season! I’m kind of in love with ankle booties paired with frilly ankle socks, aren’t they cute? To keep warm; I love a pale pink knitted jumper – especially with a dark lip. All of this paired with lots of shopping bags in one hand and in the other hand is a Starbucks hot chocolate with added mint – of course!

Which outfit would you go for – the steep or the steal? How would you style a skater skirt?
Lots of love

Review // Skin Food Black Bean Nose Pack

(Pack of 7; £5, 199.000 VND & 50DDK)

Hi you lovely bunch! I hope you had a great weekend? Mine was a really fun as it was two of the girls’ birthday! So we relaxed Friday and Saturday night we went out for delicious food (aka Jaspas in Ho Chi Minh!) and clubbing! I actually did one of the girls’ make-up – it will be up soon!

Today I have a review for you from a new brand love of mine.

A new love
Skin Foodisn?t a brand that I?ve ever heard of but something about the design of the store and the gorgeous yet sweet design on the bottles, jars, pumps ? yeah basically everything ? drew me to the brand. The need for a new body lotion etc. also helped the search ? what can I say? I love testing!

Yes I?m a sucker for cute packaging but Skin Food is not all about cute packaging. This South Korean brand is the first food cosmetics brand developed with a new and unique concept of food and with the motto ?Good food for health is also good for the skin? what?s not to like!? I fallen for the brand ? watch this space for a haul!

I been wanting to try something that will remove my blackheads ? I?m a shamed to say it but I had disgustingly lots of them (warning: you?ll be able to see it on the pictures). I?ve always had problems with blackheads, they never seem to leave my nose ? dang it! But I think I found the perfect product; Skin Food Black Bean Nose Pack (Reduce Black Heads).

Now, I haven?t tried that many other options so I can?t compare it with other solutions or products but this really works for me. I tested it with the two girls I live with and they saw a difference too, so it?s not just me 😉
So, how does it work, you ask!?
After cleansing, wet the nose area – as in REALLY wet the nose area. Then remove the clean film on the sheet with dry hands and apply the smooth side onto the nose – now wait on til it dries, which is about 10-15 minutes. When dry, peel it of and wash it with water and toner. For toner, I used my Michael Todd True Organics one.

All in all; this is definitely a product that I’ll buy again – might already have! Skin Food suggest using it once or twice a week for a smooth nose – hopefully mine will get smoother soon. I love it!
Have you heard of the brand? If so, have you tried anything?

Vietnam travels // Introduction & Arriving

Hi you guyyyys! I’ve been off from blogging, then coming back and then off again. I wasn’t craving blogging so I thought that I would take a break and start again when I craved it – and the time is finally here! Yaaaay 🙂

I think that I’ll start of my new excitement for blogging with a new series – a Vietnam Travel Series. They won’t have a specific scheduled time, it will just magically pop up in your bloglovin list.

At this moment I’m actually sitting in my new apartment – for the next 2 months – in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam! How crazy is that!? We’re 7 girls who are staying in Ho Chi Minh City for 3 months to study but also to do our internship. I’ve been here for about a month now and I have so much to tell! Right at this moment I live in a 3 bedroom apartment with two sweethearts from my class but more about that in one of the following posts.

The whole journey started in Flensburg, Germany with a 2½ hour train trip as our first (out of three) flight was form Hamburg – up in the air, down again, up in the skyes, down again – the whole cha-bang took about 18 hours (It’s now I tell you that I’m not the best at flying, right!?) Well, I’m getting better, getting better! Aaand finally, finally, finally we landed in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam 🙂 The butterflies started to tickle, I felt the excitement for the next 3 months! I also felt the hot hot hot weather – and it was naayyss (Yes, today nice is spelt that way!)

Abu Dhabi-Ho Chi Minh City: I was a little cheeky and got 3 seats for myself – sleeeeept most of the way! Except for when I watched Frozen, daah!

WARNING: Yummy food pictures will attack you!

The Calm Before Paradise
The first 2 nights we stayed in the Backpacker District – this is where most non-vietnamese people, travellers and back packers (of course) live at hostels. The hostel we stayed at was OK, nothing fancy but not the worst place.

We arrived at about 9 pm and went up with our things, before the food-hunt began! We ordered lots of food, sharing as you do!

After living here for about a month now I’ve learned – and tasted – that I freaking love vietnamese food. Tastyyy!

The first whole day we went to discover a bit of the city, eat lots of tasty food and waiting. Waiting because we had a arranged to go to Long Hai Beach and just chil-laxing for a couple of days before the whole school-internship-race began! I’ll do a whole post about our trip!

Oh and by the way, vietnamese coffee is tha’ BEST!

I hope you like me coming back and getting the hang of it again. I’ve missed you and the amazing network! Please leave your tips, eating places and so on, if you have been in Ho Chi Minh City – I would love to hear from you <3
